Vivaldi Metronome

BPM Control

Multiple ways to set your tempo with precision.

Crown Control

The large interactive crown at the center of the screen lets you dial in your BPM with a single finger rotation. Natural, precise, and fast.

Wheel +/-

Fine-tune your tempo with increment buttons: +1, +5, +10 BPM. Perfect for precise adjustments during practice.

Tap Tempo

Tap along with the music and Vivaldi detects the tempo in real-time. Great for matching a song or finding your natural tempo.

Time Signatures & Subdivisions

From simple to complex — every rhythmic structure you need.

Time Signatures

2/43/44/45/46/87/812/8 custom...

All standard time signatures plus custom configurations. Per-beat and per-subbeat accent control lets you create any pattern.

Subdivisions

Eighth notesTripletsSixteenthsQuintuplets

Toggle subdivisions on any beat independently. Per-subbeat accent configuration lets you assign different sounds and volumes to each subdivision within a beat. Steam lamp indicators show accents in real-time.

5 Sound Modes

From classic click to a full drum kit — plus a mode where you build your own.

Click

Classic digital click. Clean, sharp, precise. Two tones: high for beat 1, low for others.

Drum Kit

Real drum sounds: kick on beat 1, snare on accents, hi-hat on normal beats. Practice with a virtual drummer.

Wood

Warm acoustic percussion: wood block, clave, rimshot. Organic, natural feel.

Counting

Real human voices counting beats: "1, 2, 3, 4" with subdivision syllables ("and", "e", "a"). 4 voices available.

PRO

Advanced

Build your own sound kit from scratch. Assign any sound to any beat and subbeat. Access the full sound library or create your own samples.

Advanced Sound Editor

Create your own metronome sounds. No other metronome lets you do this.

Beat & Subbeat Grid

A full grid editor where every cell represents a [beat][subdivision] position. For each cell, independently configure:

  • Sound selection from the entire library
  • Volume (0-100%)
  • Accent sound (different from normal)
  • Accent volume (independent)

Integrated Drone (Bordone)

Basic tier Simple drone (root only) is free

Root Note

Select any of the 12 chromatic notes as your drone root. The drone plays continuously while you practice with the metronome.

13 Intervals

Add a second note: from unison through all chromatic intervals to the octave. Practice with perfect fifths, major thirds, or any interval your music demands.

Crossfade & Presets

Smooth crossfade between intervals with configurable fade modes (slow, medium, fast, breathing). Save and recall drone presets for different practice scenarios.

Why a drone in a metronome?

Practicing with a drone reference is one of the most effective ways to develop intonation awareness. Having it integrated in the metronome means you can practice rhythm AND intonation simultaneously — without switching between apps. This is a feature typically found only in dedicated drone apps.

Apple Watch & Remote Control

Hands-free control while you play your instrument.

Apple Watch App

A full-featured Watch companion with three modes:

Local Metronome

BPM via Digital Crown, 6 time signatures, play/stop, tap tempo. Haptic feedback on every beat. 3 quick BPM presets (60, 90, 120).

Pitch Tuner

Real-time note display with intonation indicator. Haptic feedback when you're in tune. Syncs temperament settings from iPhone.

Remote Control

Control the iPhone app from your wrist: BPM, time signature, subdivisions, drone note, drone interval, fade mode. Full bidirectional sync.

Configurable haptic patterns. Keep-screen-on mode available.

Foot Pedal

Connect any Bluetooth foot switch and configure up to 8 functions:

  • Start / Stop
  • BPM increase / decrease
  • Drone interval change
  • Tap Tempo
  • Toggle drone on/off

Perfect for wind and string players who can't touch their phone while practicing.

Built-in Pitch Reference

Basic tier

Use the metronome and pitch tuner simultaneously — practice with a reference pitch while keeping time. No other metronome on the App Store integrates a pitch detector directly into the metronome view.

Start with the free metronome

The core metronome with all sound modes, time signatures, subdivisions, and tap tempo is completely free. Unlock counting voices, drone intervals, and pitch reference with Basic.
